About this job

The Gasoline Engine Development and Calibration Engineer is responsible for conducting engine hardware and systems testing along with calibration development. The Engineer will plan and coordinate day-to-day activities of an engine dynamometer including interaction with technicians and support engineers. In addition, test plans and time lines will be developed and reports generated to communicate the status of the program to the larger team. Evaluations will occur with new engine hardware and powertrain technologies for future and carry over applications. The Engineer will analyze and solve complex system problems as they relate to engine performance, fuel consumption, emissions, and base engine calibration development. The Engineer will manipulate and utilize large and complex sets of engine mapping data. The Engineer will also actively participate in the decision process of base engine hardware selection and core engine calibration to achieve functional objectives.
