Human Resource Generalist

Hours- 1:00PM-10:00PM

Provides generalist support to the facility in all areas of Human Resources. Recruits, sources and selects internal and external candidates. Assists with the Associate Relations function in ensuring effective programs for all associates. Administers Company policies, procedures and benefit programs. Advises all levels of associates on programs by providing counseling and one on one assistance. Provides training support to all levels of associates. Proactively develops relationships within the community and with outside sources to identify diverse talent availability during high staffing demands.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Sources, interviews and selects external candidates and, where appropriate, internal candidates up to and including the supervisor level needs of the operation. Proactively develops and implements alternative staffing sources and represents the Company at job fairs. Participates in community events.

Supports Associate Relations by administering and advising all levels of associates on Company policies, procedures and benefit programs. Provides counseling and recommends resolution to associate/supervisory issues.

Assists with training of supervisors and associates on the floor. Ensures follow up on operational issues such as work methods, productivity and new hire orientations. Conducts new hire orientations as needed.

Participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
Strategic thinker – process improvements and techniques, work smart methods, operational efficiencies, Knowledge of labor laws

Experience with recruiting, payroll, benefits and training

Coaching and counseling skills
Communications skills
Broad HR Scope
Minimum experience
4-6 years general HR experience
