Shop Your Way membership strategy. Gaining a deeper understanding of our members' shopping needs, wants, relationships
and life situations will enable us to fully serve our members and enhance business performance.

As part of SYW Analytics, the Applications Architect will be involved in the development and implementation of SYW analytics
applications to optimize targeted marketing aspects of our SYW member experience. You will be constantly challenged to tap
into your own technical acumen to develop optimal solutions. You will leverage your technology and people skills to
collaborate with departments across the organization to develop and implement these solutions in a Big Data environment.
Doing so includes coordinating with SYW, Ecommerce, Marketing and Engineering groups to identify and prioritize business
problems and opportunities and develop robust solutions. For this role, we seek a data analytics and technology expert who
fosters teamwork and works well in a collaborative, unstructured and fast-paced team environment having an
entrepreneurial feel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Decides technologies for integrating data discovery, collection, processing and applications
• Makes decisions based on functional and non-functional requirements
• Operationalizes analytics while cultivating a deep understanding of the applications and integration infrastructure
• Develops and delivers presentations on application architectures to technology teams
• Provides detailed task plans to implement complex projects
• Communicates strategic and architectural direction/roadmap to senior leaders
• Implements change and maintenance in compliance with uptime/SLA
• Leads application operational performance reviews with peers and partners
• Performs analyses data integrity incidents and presents key findings in Root Cause Analysis meetings

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field required
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or related quantitative discipline is preferred
• (7-10) years of experience delivering end-to-end programming, procedure development, applications
• Experience with Big Data technologies (such as MongoDB and Hadoop), including experience with integrating these technologies with traditional databases and data warehouse appliances

• Knowledge of Big Query and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience performing architectural analyses/providing actionable feedback to development teams
• Experience with design and development of distributed Object-Oriented (OO) solutions using J2EE, .NET, Apache Spark, Storm and etc.
• Prior experience with direct marketing, social commerce, or retail industries is preferred
