The Human Resources and Training Office Assistant is responsible for performing clerical duties, utilizing sound knowledge of company and department procedures. This position works closely with the Human Resources department to process paperwork relating to payroll and other Human Resources issues, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This position is also responsible for serving as a back up to the Senior Administrative Assistant.
Responsible for providing administrative support to both the Human Resources and Training departments.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes documents and prepares forms, utilizing thorough knowledge of company and department procedures
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of records and documents
- Maintains Associate Database and creates company's directories by established deadlines
- Performs computational work of intermediate difficulty
- Works with all departments to schedule interviews for potential job candidates
- Organizes, maintains, and distributes a variety of records and reports
- Types correspondence, documents, reports, and forms
- Answers telephone, takes messages, and refers calls
- Opens and sorts incoming mail, attaches related material, and prepares outgoing mail
- Organizes work and sets priorities for own work
- Validates own work prior to distribution
- Edits work of other employees
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Prior clerical, data entry experience, preferably in a Human Resources department
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to handle a number of diverse projects
