Henry County Health Commissioner - Full-time

Henry County Health Commissioner Henry County Board of Health is conducting a search for an experienced, strategic, service oriented, and innovative full-time Health Commissioner at the accredited Henry County Health Department. This is an extraordinary opportunity to provide oversight and policy influence to directly support the public health of Henry County. Henry County is located in northwest Ohio and home to nearly 28,000 residents. The Health Commissioner oversees all Henry County Health Department operations and leads a team of approximately 50 staff comprised of nurses and other professionals. The health department offers services in environmental health, personal health, community health, Help Me Grow and home health and hospice. This positon requires the equivalent to a licensed physician, dentist, veterinarian, podiatrist, or chiropractor, or a master’s degree in public health. At least five years of supervisory and public health administrative experience are preferred.
