The 3M Manufacturing Plant in Columbia, MO is seeking candidates to work in production positions. Our plant is committed to quality, service and delivery that meet or exceed our customer expectations. Here, we go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for a production operator position will fill any open positions within the plant. This could be anywhere from hand assembly, to running machinery, to warehouse work

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Set-up, change-over, and adjust equipment for production runs. Performing assigned tasks at or above specified rates.

* Test raw materials as needed, accept or reject based on documented procedures.

* Identify and stage materials as outlined in documentation. May require accurately preparing or mixing chemicals and other materials used in production.

* Obtain and stage materials and/or package supplies according to schedule or requirements.

* Following operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products which are delivered to customers on time.

* Possess good eye-hand coordination and repetitive motions.

* Working effectively within a production work team and collaborate with other teams.

* Contributing to continuous improvement and problem solving.

* Maintaining neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions.

* Demonstrating safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self and others

* Work with FDA regulated products in clean room environments

This position will require:

* Working overtime

This position may require:

* Working either a first, second or third shift depending on shift availability

* Working a 12-hour fixed shift

* Weekend work

* Working holidays as needed

* Short notice call in

* Respirator use

Basic Qualifications:

* Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

* One (1) year of previous manufacturing experience

* Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment

* Basic computer knowledge

* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

* Strong computer/keyboarding skills

* Self-motivated, team oriented and excellent interpersonal skills

Location: Columbia, MO
