Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security expert to provide guidance and mitigation for a multi-tenant cloud service. Our team is building an enterprise Docker-based infrastructure-as-a-service platform based on Rancher and RancherOS. Our mission is to provide the best and most secure end-user-experience possible.

The ideal candidate has a self-starter attitude and possesses a mix of technical and security experience and mindset. A track record of hands-on infrastructure and web application security leadership are essential to fill the expectations of this role.

Responsibilities:

-Analyze security configurations and provide vulnerability reports
-Research and propose automated system and code analysis solutions
-Perform penetration testing towards hardening security profiles
-Collaborate with architects and developers on design and planning
-Work with internal IT teams to achieve internal system certifications
-Interpret high-level requirements and refine as agile-based implementation stories
-Be a flexible team player willing to learn new things and teach other

Skills and Experience:

-5+ years mitigating attack surfaces of Linux environments
-4+ years deploying or architecting network security solutions
-2+ years hardening AWS and/or vSphere environments
-2+ years applying OWASP process and best practices (at least familiarity)
-2+ years applying standard cryptography and PKI solutions
-1+ year working with Linux container technology security
-Working knowledge of common process containment technologies
-Strong knowledge of web architecture and technologies (HTTP/S, AJAX, JSON, CORS, etc
-CISSP certification a plus
-CISA certification a plus
-Ability to create concise and well documented security audit and incident reports
-Very strong communication and collaboration skills
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Advanced degree in relevant field or equivalent education via career experience
- groovy or bash scripting is a plus
