Home Instead Senior Care is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Billing & Payroll Clerk. Qualified candidates must be able to work individually and as a part of a team and should have experience working in a fast-paced office setting. Job responsibilities include:

  • Finalize billing and payroll daily using a home care software.
  • Practice confidentiality when accessing and discussing company financial information.
  • Contact CAREGivers regarding billing and payroll abnormalities and document explanations.
  • Carryout invoicing twice monthly.
  • Apply payments, monitor and manage receivables.  
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Collect and submit activities of daily living to long-term care insurance companies.  
  • Assist in answering incoming phone calls to the office. Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Communicate client and CAREGiver concerns or problems with direct supervisor or other staff members as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one-year experience in billing and payroll
  • Experience with seniors or experience in the senior care industry a plus
  • Resides with the greater Charleston area (Mt. Pleasant, James Island, Downtown, or West Ashley)
