Facilities Engineer (Maintenance) Job #5281 $78,483- $107,914 (Salary DOQ)   Basic Responsibilities:  Serves as project engineer for construction, renovation and alteration of non-operational facilities.  Designs and develops solutions to facilities problems.  Recommends maintenance and retrofits of buildings, building system changes and equipment needs as necessary.  Optimize the energy and resource usage of District buildings and equipment according to the District's conservation initiatives.  Inspects District non-operational facilities to ensure maximum life and performance through proper maintenance.  Serves as point-of-contact for customers, providing solutions to their problems.  Plans and coordinates the work of the maintenance and custodial staffs, inspects District non-operational facilities to ensure maintenance needs are met. Coordinates efforts to ensure regulatory inspections are completed timely and local jurisdictions are notified.   Minimum Qualifications: Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field OR the equivalent combination of related education and work experience. Five (5) years progressive experience in facilities engineering, including engineering evaluation of building construction, building systems and building equipment components.   License/Certification:  WA State Driver's License.
