Description:
SAIC is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join the Network Engineering Team at the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) , Washington, D.C.
Location: SEC Headquarters, 100 F. St NE , Washington D.C.
Duties:
- Performs day-to-day on-site activities required to manage data services, such as network design, implementation, and management, to include troubleshooting of complex network issues.
- Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff, to include technical and administrative direction.
- Manage the F5 Server.
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Will consider High School diploma or equivalent with 4+ additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience managing data networks, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in network design, architecture, troubleshooting, and management. Must have 5 years of F5 experience.
- Must have experience with Kiwi, DHCP, TACACS, and Out-of- Band (OOB) networks.
Travel: Some travel is required to SEC Data Centers in Beltsville, MD Edison, NJ and SEC Regional Offices
Hours: Day shift - M-F. There will be occassional weekend work for Disaster Recovery Exercises and major system cutovers.
Degree: Not required.
