Shipping Associate - Forklift

We have a client in Hayward seeking a qualified Shipping Associate. Candidates must be reliable, high energy with a strong work ethic. Must be willing to take a drug test and have a background check completed. This is a temp-to-hire position.

Shipping

• Insure safety procedures are always followed.
• Insure all work instructions are followed.
• Insure all ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, R2 and eStewards requirements are adhered to.
• Inventory Control
• Load trucks according to truck appointment, BOL and SO.
• Ensure all skids/loose equipment is loaded and secured according to the industry standards.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Communicate with drivers and sign BOLs
• Follow departmental procedures
• Be able to lift up to 30 lb.
• Assist other departments

Order Picking

• Insure safety procedures are always followed.
• Insure all work instructions are followed.
• Insure all ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, R2 and eStewards requirements are adhered to.
• Read picking tickets.
• Pack each order according to seller’s set requirements.
• Strong forklift operating experience
• Pull and stack equipment for order onto pallets.
• Stack/protect equipment the best possible way to insure undamaged delivery
• Ability to pick up to 30 lbs.
• Work with material/pallet handling equipment.
• Help other departments.

Packing

• Insure safety procedures are always followed.
• Insure all work instructions are followed.
• Insure all ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, R2 and eStewards requirements are adhered to.
• Read packing instructions for each order..
• Pack according to seller’s instructions.
• Sort all packed boxes between appropriate shipping method/company.
• Clean inventory upon request.
• Ability to pick up 30-50 lbs.
• Work with wrapping machine and pallet jack.

• Insure safety procedures are always followed.
• Insure all work instructions are followed.
• Insure all ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, R2 and eStewards requirements are adhered to.
• Manage, coach and train direct reports
• Set up and perform weekly O3 meeting with all direct reports
• Set and monitor personal goals and reports in order to reach department’s monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
• Communicate with admin department
• Responsible for the appearance of the area, including daily cleaning and prepping area ready for the next day

Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, M-F
