Position Description
REGULAR FULL TIME POSITION -- FACILITY SERVICE ASSOCIATE ('FSA') -- The FSA is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all store areas, inside and out, such as bathrooms, break rooms, sprinklers, and parking lots. The FSA is expected to perform preventative and basic maintenance on all store equipment, ordering and installing parts needed for repair. This includes coordinating with contractors and vendors to fix facilities and/or equipment. The FSA is also responsible for performing customer service while on the sales floor. The FSA examines areas outside of the store including fences, sprinklers and parking lots for items that need to be fixed and/or removed. This includes checking the garden center for any water leaks and inspecting lamps and displays on the sales floor.The FSA is also expected to maintain a safe and secure work environment by complying with company policies and procedures for merchandising, housekeeping, safety and monitoring for potential theft or security risks. Lastly, the FSAis responsible for completing all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Requires full and open availability seven (7) days per week in order to work morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.Requires the physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Requires the physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Will be required to operate various power equipment (floor scrubber (Zamboni), forklift, reach truck, order picker, pallet jack, etc.) and training is provided.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
Preferred Qualifications
6 months facility maintenance experience including preventative maintenance and repair on facility systems and equipment (e.g. changing cutting blades, light bulbs, filters).
6 months janitorial/groundskeeping experience.
6 months customer service experience.
