Purpose of The Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the design, development, and implementation of system communications and training. The HCMS Specialist is responsible for working closely with team members on program development, support, and reporting. This role works on system updates and system enhancements as well as ensuring data integrity within the system. Lowe’s is in the process of transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday for Core HR, Payroll and Compensation. This position will have a supporting role in the project and processes on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

• A supporting resource in the transition of the current HRIS system and operating model from PeopleSoft to Workday.
• Supports the Workday related HRIS activities across the appropriate departments within Lowe’s as needed.
• Monitors compliance with HCMS systems and programs as prescribed by Lowe’s business needs and internal partners
• Ensures tools, pages, security, and other components of the system are present and that program logistics run smoothly
• Assesses, implements, and assists Senior Analyst and Analyst in managing System needs for all client groups
• Observes system performance and make recommendations to ensure optimal performance
• Informs system users regarding system functionality updates and enhancements, existing and new processes, and best practices
• Creates and supports reporting data architecture and view creation with reporting data architecture and view creation with Reporting Technologies
• Researches, designs and schedules standardized reports, or creates ad hoc reports or data queries utilizing appropriate tools and systems
• Develops and maintains reporting applications, menus and access restrictions for system reports

Required Education/Experience:

Associate's Degree in Instructional Design, Industrial Organizational Development, Organization Development, Human Resources or Information Technology or related field

3+ years e xperience with the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio), and Adobe Acrobat
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proven time management/organization, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Computer Science or related field.
1+ years e xperience supporting Workday HCM
1+ years e xperience supporting Workday Human Capital Management
