About this job

The Business Manager is a key member of the management team and is a resource to employees and customers. The Business Manager provides financial services support, financial analysis and administrative support for the various departments within the Distribution Center and to satellite locations as needed. The role is responsible for accurate and timely processing and adherence to proper accounting procedures and internal controls.

•Direct responsibility for departmental expense budget, wage expenses for administrative staff, overtime, and all other related facility expenses.
•Responsible for monitoring and collaborating with management in the analysis of financial performance vs budget
•Responsible for expense control, monitoring and assisting functional managers with monitoring financial performance of the operations.
•Ensures payroll is processed timely and accurately on a weekly basis
•Assists in accounts receivable efforts including sales center charge backs, AR write offs, NSF.
•Monitors pre-settlement and cashiering activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
•Leads the analysis and resolution of all driver cash and product over/shorts.
•Review and resolve open liabilities past 30 days
•Assists in accounts payable efforts as necessary.
•Monitor the internal control environment compliance, identify gaps to functional management teams and assist in remediation.
•Procurement: Coordinate purchasing, maintain supplier contracts and insurance
•Hire and retain talented diverse team and provide ongoing training and development
•Coach team members and follow Performance Management process.
•Participates in personal training and development opportunities.
•Responsible for monitoring and collaborating with management in the analysis of monthly financial reports.
• Collaborates with distribution center and functional management to ensure the accuracy of labor.
•Participate in safety meetings and compliance documentation.
•Assist in accounts receivable research such as pricing discrepancies, proof of delivery and NSF.
•Oversee Route-settlement and Cashiering activities, insuring daily deposits are accounted for.
•Participate in quarterly/annual independent internal control audits.
•Assists in preparing annual operating budget for distribution center and sales operations.
Responsible monitoring of monthly financial reports along with management.
•Supports the mail check process for customer refunds.
•Audits and monitors Comdata transactions.
•Supports the sampling/free goods process to ensure that there are proper internal controls.
•Coordinates all general administrative activities as necessary (reception, phones, supplies, etc.).
•Processes new employee paperwork and facilitates new employee orientation.
•Other responsibilities as assigned based on location such as inventory and adherence to CBA

Requirements

Job Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience required
* Five plus years' management and office experience with similar responsibilities
* People Management - Hiring and grow talented and diverse workforce
* Finance, accounting and or management experience
* PC skills - SAP, Intermediate to Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint
