Position Purpose:


Support Pet Services in achieving the departmental objectives of putting the customer first, accelerate sales growth, expense control, and profit enhancement through the supervision of strategic projects, analytical tools and roles within the department, including a focus on proper pet services staffing levels and effective labor planning.  Oversees all routine and ad hoc reporting efforts within the Pet Services team.  Manages and tracks all strategic projects.  

Essential Job Functions:

The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Establishes strategic objectives by gathering relevant business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
  • Support the aggressive growth of pet services through development of internal business efficiency initiatives.  With each effort, manage using deployment timelines, specific objectives/goals, and budgeting, training, staffing and other related resources to execute business results.
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts, both internally and externally, with emphasis on company interests
  • Lead prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Identify reporting needs and manage creation of complex and administrative and end user reports
  • Lead Service Support Manager Team by recruiting, selecting, training and developing professional growth opportunities. Guide subordinate team members through the analysis of complex operational data and provide appropriate recommendations for action.
  • Confidently present project results to a sizable audience including executive management with decision-making impact.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members. Use objective means to monitor progress toward those goals. Coordinate cross functional teams to include, but not limited to Marketing, Visual, Human Resources, Analytical/Finance, Performance, Learning & Engagement, etc.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly supervise & manage Services Support Managers to include interviewing, hiring, training, assignment delegation and follow through, performance review, and disciplinary action, including termination when necessary. This position provides services operations expertise and guidance to field leadership, store leadership and regional staff.

Work Environment:

The majority of job responsibilities are performed while seated indoors with little exposure to hazards.  Approx. 20% travel is required to field locations by plane or automobile.

Qualifications

Education:

The minimum education required for this position is a BA or BS degree in Business or Industrial Engineering, or the equivalent of 5 years' experience in Finance/Accounting, business analyses, or industrial engineering.  Related business experience including process improvement, qualitative analysis, project management/program roll-out, policy development, excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
