Manager, Business Finance for Financial Services - Full-time

The Manager of Business Finance will have the responsibility of planning (both high level and unit), forecasting, analysis, reporting and ensuring controls are in place for a specific category/categories within a specific business within the Sears or Kmart retail formats. This business routinely partners with the Business Unit CFO and leadership team in monitoring and addressing any issues related to the financial performance for their supported categories.

*due to the depth and breadth of this position it is an individual contributor role and does not have direct reports.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manages daily, weekly and monthly planning, forecasting and reporting
* Reviews and diagnoses variances to plan, forecast and last year, working to ensure forecast accuracy
* Manages the annual strategic planning process in conjunction with corporate timelines
* Ensures corporate financial controls exist within the business
* Provides regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed to help drive business results
* Works with the Business Unit Finance team in aligning on decisions and recommendations

REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
* Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in Financial Planning, Forecasting, Strategic Business Decision Making or Analysis
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial calculations
* Strong decision making and problem solving skills based upon financial and statistical results
* Ability to read, interpret and communicate detailed quantitative data
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent computer skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

PREFERRED SKILLS:
* MBA or Advanced Degree
* Financial services experience
