Entering and leaving Golden Corral are two of the most critical moments in the guest’s experience because lasting impressions are formed during these moments. These impressions ultimately dictate whether the guest will return.
Guest Service:
• Greets guests as they enter the restaurant and offers a sincere, personal invitation to return as the guests leave.
• Offers assistance to any guests who may need help.
• Processes to-go orders.
• Is friendly and courteous on the phone.
• Handles payments accurately.
• Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery.
• Knows what is on buffet for the day and has a full knowledge of menu and prices.

Cleanliness:
• Maintains organization and cleanliness at the vestibule, host/cashier station and surrounding areas.
• Assists the Buffet Attendant when necessary.
• Follows local health department laws.
• Performs duty roster and Cleanliness, Service, and Quality responsibilities.

Adherence to Standards:
• Informs the Manager when the money in the drawer needs to be taken to the safe to reduce the risk of robbery.
• Ensures drawer balances with daily paperwork.

• Performs other functions that may be necessary to ensure guests receive a pleasurable dining experience.

Requirements

Job Requirements
Successful completion of Safe Tracks, Golden Corral's Co-worker Food Safety and Sanitation course, and participation in Fast Tracks, Golden Corral's Co-worker cross-training program. Experience in food service preferred, but not required. Proof of food handler certification may be required for individuals in those applicable states.

Additional Information

Position requires standing and walking 3-4+ hours without a rest break. Regular, moderate (1-35 lbs.) lifting and carrying; bending and reaching is required. Work environment requires the use of tools such as cash register, drink dispenser and glasses and a forceful grip is required for the use of these tools. Work setting is within the restaurant. Compliance with position uniform standards and adherence to all company policies and house rules are required.
