About this job
Our fast-growing general contracting firm is currently seeking a full-charge bookkeeper to join our team! The job is part time with flexible hours & days. The candidate will likely only need to come in once per week. A firm understanding of GAAP principals as the apply to the general contracting industry is a must.
Responsibilities
• Enter all expenses weekly
• Enter all payments received weekly
• Reconcile all accounts the week the statement becomes available
• Submit the following reports to the CFO by the 7th of each month:
o Profit & loss (itemized)
o Balance Sheet
o Job Cost Estimate vs Actual (for all jobs currently under construction)
• Enter estimates on contracted jobs weekly
• Process payroll weekly
• Complete a workers comp report with each payroll outlining the insurance burden and submit to the CFO
• Enter approved invoices form vendors weekly
• Record and pay accounts payable
• Issue invoices to and collect from customers
• Scan all receipts, payments, and statements to dropbox folder weekly
o Separate all expenses by the week and all payments by the month
• Each out to the appropriate party if more information is needed to resolve something.
• Inform the CFO if something looks fishy

* Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
* Ability to solve problems independently

* Accounts payable
* Reconciliations
* Reporting
* WC & GL audits
* Software and tech savvy. Must be proficient in the following:
o Dropbox, QuickBooks, adobe PDF, & Microsoft office
