Job Summary:
Using established guidelines, the Medicaid Analyst I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to Brookdale customers and fellow associates.

Your responsibilities:
* Comply with company and state Medicaid/Managed Care Organization (MCO) policies and regulations
* Provide quality customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to internal and external customers
* Research accounts and resolve potential errors and issues through the audit of accounts from phone calls, emails, and tickets received
* Process a series of assigned tasks including move-ins, conversions to Medicaid, charge maintenance, and agreement/billing party changes following state/MCO guidelines
* Work with communities to correct accounts prior to monthly resident invoicing
* Update resident accounts upon state/MCO rate changes
* Monitor and distribute work tickets through internal system as well as mail and external faxes
* Make standard and routine decisions based on detailed guidelines with minimal independent judgment. Solve problems with clear, detailed guidelines; or, by reporting them to a supervisor
* Deliver quality work to include maintaining passing scores on scheduled audits and meeting department deadlines and goals specific to area of responsibility
* Possess professional verbal and written communication skills
* Work the hours indicated by leadership, taking appropriate breaks and lunches as scheduled
* Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact performance and customer experience



Required skills and qualifications:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate"s Degree preferred
* Minimum two years experience in Customer Service. Healthcare setting preferred
* Excellent customer service skills
* Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
