About this job

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing learning experiences that solve business problems through the thoughtful combination of communications, eLearning, instructor-led training, performance support and other interventions. They ensure that high-quality, innovative, and effective learning solutions are in a timely fashion to satisfy business needs. They ensure that components of the solutions are designed, developed, and delivered by different teams in a timely manner.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Engage with stakeholders from different parts of the business to rapidly analyze their needs and design high-level learning solutions that may include a range of low, medium and high-fidelity learning interventions
  • Partner with communication specialists, eLearning designers, media specialists, translators and performance support designers to conduct the detailed design of interventions identified as part of an overall learning
  • Coordinate efforts between business stakeholders, communications, eLearning, media and performance support teams to ensure that learning solutions are delivered in a timely manner
  • Continuously monitor resourcing levels, project progress, and work with the Learning PMO to align resources to any gaps as they emerge
  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and development to Instructional Designers
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in educational technology, instructional design, performance improvement or related field required; masters preferred
  • 5+ years experience in instructional design of programs and games to develop business related curriculum
  • Project Management skills are required for success in this role
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience as a learning experience designer, performance technologist or senior instructional designer preferred
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and resource management skills
  • Must have a successful track record of partnering with leadership to create optimal results for the assigned business unit
