The Bike Service Shop Service Lead is responsible for performing quality tunes and repairs to customer’s equipment. Completing accurate work orders and prioritizes work in an expedient manner. Supervising and directing the Bike Service shop staff as well as assist with store operations and generating sales.

                                                                

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Service and Repair customer merchandise according to established guidelines.
  • Complete accurate work orders and prioritize work in an expedient manner.
  • Determine customer equipment needs and assist in generating sales.
  • Provide customers with the highest level of service by serving as a knowledgeable resource to customers and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all company policies and guidelines.
  • Remain current on industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products.
  • Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques.
  • Maintain all company paperwork according to policy.
  • Communicate with store management to achieve a seamless customer experience and maximize profitability.
  • Train, Lead, and Manage Associate Technicians.
  • Identify shop supply needs.
  • Manage work order flow to completion.
  • Maintain equipment and identify equipment servicing needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety procedures
  • Ensure all proper housekeeping methods and overall cleanliness of the shop is adhered to.

 

Job Requirements:

  • HS Diploma of GED equivalent
  • Passion for Cycling
  • 3-4 years of Bike Service Shop experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and elevate questions or concerns to management
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends
