Urban Outfitters Summer 2018 Internships - Home Stylist - Full-time / Part-time

Are you interested in an internship in Philly with URBN for the summer of 2018? Now is your chance! We are currently accepting applications to receive an invitation to the URBN Internship Interview Day that will take place in early January 2018.

DECORATOR: You master the art of style.

Home Stylist Intern Responsibilities

* Attend Friday product handoff

* Friday/Monday: Product Prep

* Steam textiles -- bedding, curtains, tapestries, rugs, and other decorative textiles (all textiles must be prepped and finished by Tuesday morning)

* Prep novelties -- ex: make balloon animals, color coloring books, etc.

* Tech research -- ex: download apps, watch instructional videos, charge products, take/print photos, etc.

* Prep decorate samples -- ex: pot plants, remove stickers, frame photos, etc

* Organize product for the week based on sets

* Assist Studio Manager with marking furniture/props that will go back to 611, B7, or B3

* Daily

* Assist stylist with setting up and breaking down sets,

* Assist team w/ studio organization by keeping prop areas tidy and aisles clear.

* Weekly

* Patch & Paint Walls

* Assist with packing for editorial shoots

* Plant care -- refer to water/fertilizer schedule.

* Assist team with running samples.

* Assist team with projects as needed (ie. file organization, inspirational imagery searches, building backdrops, etc)

Qualifications

* Passionate about Home styling and eager to learn new skills

* Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills

* Ability to prioritize projects and multitask

* Detail oriented

* Creative thinker

What to Submit

(2) Home Styling Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF)

* Put together a concept board featuring tears of images (ecommerce, editorial, etc.) that you find aspirational for the Urban Outfitters Home brands creative styling direction.

* You may use visuals from blogs, Instagram, magazines, etc. to show your point of view but be sure to think like a Stylist when pulling your aspirational tears.

* This is the creative part of the application so have fun with it, there are no major guidelines!

* If you have a styling portfolio, personal blog, etc. please be sure to include links for us to check it out!!*

How to Submit

* Please create 1 PDF that contains the two pieces of your application (resume and styling concept board) and upload it to the Resume section of your online application.

* Once you have submitted your complete application online you will receive an email invitation to complete a video interview for the position. This video interview must be completed within 2 days from the time you receive the invitation so be on the lookout for the video interview email.

* Please note it may take up to 2 weeks to receive the video interview invitation from our system, so please be patient!*

The "Fine Print"

Applications must be received by Sunday, December 3rd, 6PM EST. Applications received after the deadline or those that are incomplete are not guaranteed to be reviewed.

If you are selected for an in person interview, you will be notified on or before December 20th, 2017 with the details for our Internship Interview Day. If you are unable to attend our recruiting day, we will try to accommodate you at another time, but cannot guarantee it. You MUST be selected for an interview in order to attend the recruiting day -- if you aren't on the list, you won't get to interview with us. Sorry, no exceptions.
