About this job

Provides general office support to include, but are not limited to, answering incoming calls, managing the reception area, sorting mail, ordering supplies, organizing office communication and activities on a daily basis

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and direct/transfer caller to appropriate associate; takes and retrieves messages when associate is not available
  • Provide callers with information such as company address and directions to the company, company website and other related information
  • Manages reception area to maintain a professional image
  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail
  • Coordinates pick-up and delivery of all mail services
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of office equipment, including copier, computers, printers, etc.
  • Type correspondence and reports; manage and update various spreadsheets
  • Maintain records and files
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of mail processes such as USPS, FedEx, UPS
  • Computer literacy -- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry
  • Ability to enter data  accurately and efficiently in order to meet deadlines
  • Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a busy office with constant interruptions
  • 1-3 years previous experience in an office environment
