Works under the direction of the Mgr. Investigations. Maintains close working relations with field Asset & Profit Protection (APP), I&TG, HR and business operations teams to access, collect and analyze systems data to identify fraud exposures. Analyzes risks, internal controls and systemic processes within the Retail Services, E-Commerce and Supply Chain Channels in order to initiate and support investigations, as well as enhance profit.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- On-going review of controls and systems within businesses that support retail operations to identify exposures.
- Analyzes Procurement and Travel card expense data to identify expense fraud within all of SHMC.
- Accesses on-line databases, audits, collects and analyzes data to identify both internal and external fraud activity.
- Identify and Investigate new methods of cyber-crimes that impact SHMC.
- Utilize server and mainframe data sources to initiate financially significant investigations.
- Develop ad-hoc queries that identify losses and support the investigative needs of the field APP teams.
- \"Provides investigative review for non-staffed stores where local LPM is not assigned.
- Identify, investigate external theft cases involving organized retail crime groups at the direction of the Mgr, Investigations.
- Performs remote video retrieval/monitoring for digital stores.
- Monitors assigned business for credit chargebacks to identify patterns of fraud and/or abuse
- Generates daily/weekly reports as assigned
- Conducts over/shorts investigations as needed
- Provide investigative assistance for Sears, Kmart Field APP and Market Investigators utilizing Aspect, LCI, Loyalty, and other systems.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Mgr, Investigations
- Education Experience: Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Criminal Justice
- Years of Related Experience: 3+ years previous experience in an Investigations, Audit or APP
- License/Certificate Required: None
- Driver's License Required: No
- Travel Requirements: 25%
- Age Requirement: 18+
- Competency in Shortage Control and retail operating processes
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Formal training and experience in conducting internal/external investigations
- Strong analytical and auditing skills
- Highly proficient computer skills, exception reporting knowledge, Aspect and/or XBR, SQL Syntax, Microsoft Access, Excel and/or related analytical tools
- Financial Analysis (ability to analyze/diagnose data, identify/quantify opportunities, develop plans to adderess
