MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
60%- Responsible for the collection of B2B business accounts which may include specialized, high profile and or national accounts through use of collection software. This function requires a high volume of phone contact, initiated through both outbound & inbound calls. Extensive use of telephone & electronic communication
30%- Processing of credit card and electronic payments through in-house programs and commercial software. Creates excel spreadsheets, word documents, analyzes payment applications and customer accounting records
10%- Establishes and maintains strong business relationships, evaluates and accesses risk while conveying information or concerns regarding the financial condition of a customer's business to management
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Credit & Collection Manager. has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:
Self-starter with a sense of urgency
Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written
3 or more years commercial non-secured collection experience
Basic comprehension of Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate proficiency in the use of EXCEL & WORD
Prior B2B collection experience
Strong Problem solving skills
