CNC Machinist - Direct Hire
1st Shift - 6am to 2:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
Works independently from CAD files, engineering drawings, BOMs and tooling information resources to program, tool-load, set-up, fixture, toll-probe, operate and adjust CNC Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) and CNC Turning Centers.
Will be required to plan a sequence of machining operations.
Manufacturing (CAM) work environment to produce components per specification.
Efficiently and safely program and execute a variety of machining functions such as: milling, drilling, tapping, pocketing, chamfering, etc.
Utilize cutting speeds, feed rates and material removal rates based on tooling parameters, programmed tool paths, material specifications and fixturing.
Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and be required to retrieve, create, modify, store and organize digital files, documents and CAM generated data.
Work cooperatively with outside tech support services and internal IT department to resolve hardware and software issues as they arise.
Operate and adjust manual machine tools, such as surface grinders, milling machines, radial drills and other similar departments.
Check machined components to design specification using a variety of traditional inspection tools as micrometers, indicators, verniers, height gages, etc.
Replace tooling and carbide inserts as required, alerting supervision of tooling and insert replenishment needs.
CAM proficiency and skills will be maintained and upgraded through outside training and educational opportunities.
Loading and unloading of machines will require the safe use of hoists, cranes, straps and close proximity lift magnets.
Deburr and prep components.
Perform routine PM to vertical machining centers.
