THE HIRED CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING

The assistant in this position assists and aids the Deputy General Counsel and Assistant General Counsels in the performance of their duties and assists the office administrator and assistants with administrative functions. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting the Deputy General Counsel with liaison responsibilities with top executive officials in and out of the Department, involving personal contact, direct and by telephone, with Division Directors and Department personnel.

Coordinating office calendars, preparing travel itineraries, arranging meetings, and making travel arrangements and reservations as required.

Maintaining files and logs, including case files, assignments logs, legislation files, correspondence, and policy and procedure files.

Filing pleadings and other legal documents with courts under the supervision of attorneys or assistants.

Performing other duties as assigned.

THIS POSITION HAS THE FOLLOWING JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or its equivalent is required
