Hours: 6 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday Rotating weekday and weekend call The SurgicalServices/Operating Room Registered Nurse The staff nurse provides direct nursing care topatients of all ages undergoing surgical intervention with emphasis placed onsterile technique, perioperative nursing care and provision of appropriateequipment. In addition,Surgical RNs with two years surgical experience are eligible to participate inthe HCA initiative "OR of Choice" by providing "complimentary" CNOR Testing(Certified Nurse of the Operating Room). Licensure/Certification/Registration: License- Louisiana, certification-CPR for healthcare provider through AHA upon hire, CNOR preferred. Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program. Experience: Minimum of 2 years OR experience preferred. Special Qualifications: Good communication skills both verbal and written; computer skills helpful. Ability to maintain emotional stability in emergency situations. Willingness to float to OR Holding, PACU, and rotate call.
