Position Details

Provides check cashing services and performs as a cashier in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.  Handles large amount of currency, redeems tickets, vouchers, table games chips to guests in a professional manner displaying a high standard of guest service in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service and Operations Standards. 

Essential Functions:

  • Handle large sums of money in an accurate manner
  • Validate tickets for guests and pays accordingly
  • Pay cash to employees for jackpots and hand-pays
  • Maintain an accurate count of bank
  • Perform regular cash buys to Cage Supervisor
  • Responsible for maintaining banks and variances
  • Process and verify Travelers Checks
  • Provide check approval and check cashing service for guests
  • Provide Cash Advance services to guests
  • Issue and Redeem chips
  • Completes MTLs, CTRCs, MILs for Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act when transactions requires paperwork to be completed
  • Process chip fills and credits
  • Provide gift certificate sales to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Answer guests questions about check cashing services
  • Report equipment failure to Cage Supervisor
  • Guide guests through the check cashing process in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Perform as a team member and assist fellow employees to ensure a smooth operation
  • Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill
  • Understand the goals and vision  of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance
  • Complete other duties as assigned 

Experience Required:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Handling large amounts of money
  • Six months cash handling experience preferred
  • West Virginia Lottery Validation Manager License required
  • West Virginia Racing Commission License required
  • West Virginia Table Games Level two License required 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organization and guest service skills
  • Excellent math skills including addition and subtraction
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Role model the GuestPath Universal Service Standards interacting positively through relationships with guests, fellow associates and members of the management team displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people’s needs 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds 

Environmental Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to secondhand smoke
  • Exposure to high volume noise
Candidates with past experience as Bar Staff, Hotel Receptionist and Guest Service Representative and that have worked in companies such as United Airlines, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel and Sheraton are encouraged to submit their application.
