About this job

Description

Marcus Hotels and Resorts will be seeking candidates for our highly regarded Management Training Program. This role is designed to expose graduates to our places, people and practices over a 26 week period that will help set the foundation for success throughout their careers. Trainees concentrate in rooms, food and beverage, culinary arts or possibly convention services and/or sales. They rotate through departments within their discipline of choice and learn from leaders at some of the most successful full service properties in the U. S. After completing training, each participant is placed into an assistant manager, manager or equivalent position, placement maybe in their host hotel but all applicants MUST be open to relocation to be considered.

The Management Training Program is designed to attract and engage undergraduates and graduate students studying hospitality, hotel, tourism, culinary arts, food and beverage management and similar programs. We will however consider internal candidates with other degrees or educational backgrounds.

At Marcus we have high expectations for each associate we hire. The environment we create for our Trainees includes:
Training and development in functional areas, leadership skills and rotational exposure
Regular performance reviews and developmental guidance
A dedicated Corporate Talent Development Advisor assigned to check in with you
Career path surveys and an opportunity to plan your own potential career
Interaction with hotel executives and often corporate team members
Inclusion in management training programs such as Seven Habits, Management Institute, etc.
Opportunities for project work and task force assignments in your assigned and other locations
