Restaurant Staff Accountant

Stoner’s Pizza Joint offers dine-in, carry and delivery of gourmet pizzas, chicken wings, salads, sandwiches and desserts.

We are searching for a friendly and dynamic Restaurant Staff Accountant to join our growing home office team. The Restaurant Accountant will provide accounting for the restaurant and operations management, ensure accurate and timely financial statements, and be able to handle change in a fast-paced environment.

NOTE: This is not an A/P or A/R position. Full-cycle accounting experience is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Weekly and monthly analysis of assigned restaurant P&L statements

· Monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations

· Maintenance of prepaid, amortization, fixed asset, and depreciation schedules

· Complete expense accruals and cost allocations

· Receipt management, sales tax reporting, time clock review and payroll

· Provide accounting procedural and software support to restaurant operations

· Assist in annual financial and tax preparation

· Protect company proprietary and confidential information

Skills and Education

· Accounting experienced required (minimum 2 years of general ledger accounting)

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred

· Prior experience full-cycle accounting experience in a multi-unit company preferred

· Restaurant, retail or hospitality accounting experience is highly preferred

· Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is required

· Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, and conditional statements preferred

· Attention to detail, time management, results driven, deadline-oriented, analytical

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $42,000 to $55,000
