About this job
Our client is currently seeking Network Systems Engineer candidates to design and support networks both internally for their company, and externally for their customers. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects as well as learn and support new systems and applications. Must have a valid driver's license, and a good driving record.
Requirements:
2 years experience with:
- Routing, Switching, WIFI; VLAN's, Firewalls
- Windows Server 2008, 2012, and Ubuntu Linux
- Virtualization technologies, especially Citrix XenServer
Responsibilities:
- Design and support (monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain) networks
- Monitor troubleshoot and maintain Windows and Linux servers
- Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain Windows workstations
- Troubleshoot and resolve system problems.
- Manage internet applications including apache, MySQL, PHP, Zimbra/Postfix
- Review server and application logs to determine and solve problems
- Provide customer support for Email, Webhosting, LAN/WAN, WiFi, and Desktop applications
- Monitor systems for optimum performance and availability
- Implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates)
- Implement and monitor corporate security policies
- Document and implement system procedures, policies, and events
- Train staff on network and information security issues; specifically recognizing and avoiding phishing and social engineering attempts
- Staying informed of technology trends and information security threats, advise senior management of regulatory changes, industry best practices, and new threats
Evaluation Hire Position

$35,000-$40,000/annually
