DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Commercial Lending Manager, you will be responsible for the operations and the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the Commercial Loan portfolio.  Manage the Assistant Commercial Lending Administrator in support of the commercial lending department. 

  1. Portfolio growth and management in coordination with Branch Managers
  2. High quality underwriting and processing of business loan applications
  3. Error free commercial loan documents and accurate and complete loan files
  4. Monitoring of new loans and maturing loans pipeline
  5. Monitoring and management of delinquent loans and the watch list
  6. Loss mitigation strategy and work out loan structuring and monitoring
  7. Lien perfections, all documentation exceptions, and annual reviews
  8. Preparation of monthly reports to manage credit and reputation risk
  9. Update Policy and Procedure annually or as needed
  10. Support branch staff in providing exceptional service to MCU members
  11. Ensure compliance with all federal and state agency regulatory requirements
  12. Manage portfolio risk grade classifications to ensure proper identification, reporting & compliance

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate is one that possesses a thorough knowledge of commercial loan underwriting and documentation and can work with others to utilize this knowledge. We are seeking someone who is committed to providing exceptional coaching to staff and who has the ability to motivate or influence others with a significant level of diplomacy and trust.  Additional qualifications include:

  1. Familiarity with SBA and Participation lending requirements
  2. Good problem solving skills
  3. Familiar with regulatory compliance issues particularly as they pertain to business loans
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Above average computer skills including use of MSWord, Excel, and Outlook programs
  6. Report generation and validation relating to the loan portfolio performance
  7. Ability to perform detail work in an accurate and timely fashion
