SATCOM Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Information Sys Tech Analyst 3/4 - Full-time / Part-time

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is currently seeking an experienced Satellite Communications (SATCOM) SME 3 / 4 for a new and exciting effort located in Melbourne, FL. We're looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual that can expand on their current knowledge and grow in the fields of systems engineering, satellite communications, and integration and test. NGMS is an industry leader in developing, integrating, and sustaining complex systems for our customers. Our Team performs a variety of tasks leading to the successful integration, test, and deployment of complex systems worldwide.
Tasks will include leadership, coordination and execution of program milestones including design, development, systems integration, and testing activities. Coordination and communication of issues and status with test operations, maintenance, logistics, mission assurance, and Responsible Engineers is required. This position will act as a focal point between test, systems, hardware and software engineering personnel.

The successful candidate will:
Have working knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, radio frequency (RF) data communications processes, and system integration experience.
Develop and document technical standard operating processes and procedures
Participate in team reviews of technical requirements, design and implementation plans prior to deployment
Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance, reliability, and operation of the system including installing, upgrading, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal policies and practices
Create milestones, metrics and monitors adherence to software plans and schedules, identifies problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or adapting to changing contractual specifications.

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
US Citizenship is required with an active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
Minimum of 5 years experience with Bachelor s degree or 3 years experience with Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Experience working within formal engineering & development processes for the development of complex systems
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
US Citizenship is required with an active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
Minimum of 9 years experience with Bachelor s degree or 7 years experience with Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
