Job Overview: Assure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assist room attendant in order to maintain our high standards of quality. Responsible for the cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Reports to: Lead Floor House Person/Housekeeping Supervisor
Essential job functions:
Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants. Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds.
Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash. Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster.
Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures.
Clean elevator car and tracks.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have the ability to communicate in English, can communicate well with guests
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment
Positive, energetic personality, willingness to learn and commitment to support and advance the image and reputation of the hotel.
6 months housekeeping experience.
Additional Qualifications:
1 year housekeeping experience preferably in a full service hotel
Strong interpersonal verbal communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces
Able to stand for long periods of time, reach above head level, bend, stoop, twist and lift
