JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the resort. This person is hands-on with the day to day operations of the Housekeeping Department. This person will have a managing stake in scheduling, daily reports, daily operations, department and company policies and procedures for Amenity Housekeeping as well as Guest Lodging Housekeeping. The assistant manager must be able to carry out any duties necessary, whether it is administrative or actual housekeeping duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Assist in scheduling and assigning work duties and details.
* Monitoring Associates' daily work schedules and hours.
* Maintaining supplies in various Resort Amenity housekeeping storage closets.
* Enforcement of uniforms and associate appearance.
* Assist in facility inspections and generating reports.
* Training and mentoring personnel.
* Communicating associates' problems and needs to Director of Housekeeping Operations to encourage positive staff morale.
* Receiving deliveries and organizing stocked items.
* Housekeeping duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent, required.
* Position requires flexibility of schedule, creativity, social and interpersonal skills, decision making ability, initiative and sense of urgency.
* Previous customer service experience.
* Demonstrated organization and follow-up skills.
* Excellent oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience, work well as a team member and as a leader.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

* College degree in a hospitality related industry preferred.
* High degree of problem solving abilities desired.
* Knowledge of Daylight, SMS and TimeSaver software programs is valued.
