The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists the Director of Housekeeping in managing associates' and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the hotel, guest rooms, public areas, laundry and other assigned areas. Coordinates all functions of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments and ensures impeccable levels of cleanliness and upkeep. Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and team building skills with associates, peers and across departments.

  • 30% Facilitate hiring process, including interviewing, training, and evaluating job performance. Provide ongoing training and development to all positions.
  • 30% Interact with all employees in the Housekeeping Department. Evaluate, coach, counsel and provide leadership support.
  • 20% Conduct inspections of guest rooms and provide feedback to room attendants.
  • 10% Manage administrative duties, including payroll and operating expenses.
  • 10% Manage the uniform department and the fitting of all new associates.
