About this job
An international travel client is looking to hire Travel Counselors to join their growing team in Newton. There are currently three openings at the company and they are looking to hire immediately. The positions are either on a 3-month contract-to-hire basis or direct placement (based on experience).
Some of the key attributes our client is looking for are as follows:
- Passion for Travel & International Travel Experience
- 1 year+ office customer service experience
- Data Entry, Word, Excel Proficiency
- Strong written and telephone etiquette
- Ability to work well with a team.
Travel Counselors will be taking 50-85 calls a day, and the majority of people they'll work with are highly educated/experienced travelers. Therefore, some of the responsibilities include the ability to:
- Provide professional assistance for incoming customer telephone calls for sales and service
- Maintain the highest degree of telephone etiquette on all calls taken
- Conduct outbound calls as needed (collections, date consolidation, requested call-backs)
- Update and maintain reservation information in accordance with company guidelines
- Provide assistance in preparing departmental reports and other documentation
- Assume responsibilities for other projects as assigned
