Job Summary: Responsible for affecting profitability through sound claims management practices and provision of consistent service excellence. Effectively manages (from first advice to settlement and including subrogation) a portfolio of property damage claims. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Report all claims to Sedgwick with the distinction of 1) Handle or, 2) Report Only * Communication with installer's insurance provider to initiate claims * Research and provide Certificate of Insurance (subcontractor) to Sedgwick * Manage caseload within software management application by using proprietary task queue to prioritize next steps within each case * Facilitates the initiation of the service event and subsequent escalation to local district management * Consistent, ongoing communication with all parties: customer, Sedgwick, subcontractor insurance, field management * Negotiates and defends Sears' position where appropriate * Skillful drafting of correspondence to customers for general follow-up, negotiations, settlements, and closing claims * Maintains follow-up cadence as follows: a) responds to phone calls within 24 hours of receipt, b) responds to emails within 48 hours of receipt, c) updates files every 7-10 days, d) updates higher level files every 3-5 days * Administrative duties including but not limited to: imaging documents, initiating check requests, research, and filing * Other related duties as require

Required Skills: * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Solution oriented * Excellent interpersonal skills * Solid organization and multi-tasking skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications as well as overall computer skills * Analytical, negotiation and influencing skills * Ability to organize and maintain detailed filing system Preferred Skills: * Understanding and working knowledge/ experience with property damage concepts * Basic Accounting knowledge * Ability to exceed individual goals as well as team goals
