General Technician / Warehouse / Picker Packer

Quad/Graphics, a global leader in the commercial printing and direct marketing industry is seeking Mail Sorters / Letter Sorters to work in our rapidly expanding East Coast Digital Print and Commingling Supercenter in Westampton, NJ.

This position requires the ability to perform a variety of tasks during their shift. Tasks include but not limited to, mail sortation, mail piece hand assembly, customer sample review, accurately prepare job log paperwork and use computer programs specific to the Manual area.

This position is responsible for manually completing jobs based on specifications and monitors the quality of the product.  Ensures all jobs are properly documented and logged on all corresponding log sheets to separate by delivery arrangement.  Must perform all quality steps to correctly match up all components as well as meet all scheduled deadlines.

Full-time positions are available on the following shifts:

1st Shift:  7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

2nd Shift:  3:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.

3rd Shift:  11:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Follow job specifications to ensure accuracy and maintain quality level during the production of packages.  Ensures and is accountable for accuracy of product counts, quality and customer specifications.

Communicates and coordinates all job related information to the appropriate parties.

Accurately maintain records and logs of all jobs worked in accordance to procedure and sign all jobs tickets.

Organize mail pieces based on carrier (PSI, USPS, DHL, UPS, etc.) and prepare for shipments.

Responsible for quality control of any job designated as MANUAL for ESI, commercial and automotive.

Assist in getting statements ready for various projects and multiple pick up times.

Assist in closing jobs in systems for report accuracy.

Assist in providing training to temporary employees.

Work on samples of different projects on a daily basis.

Sort mail according to USPS and commingle specifications.

Set up and operate equipment such as strap machine, mailing machine, automated puncher, scoring table, shrink wrap machine, glue guns and the small production printer (1357).

Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced production environment or print-related experience.

High school diploma or equivalent;

Ability to use a computer, keyboard and mouse;

Able to demonstrate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills at a high school level;

Work requires definite skilled and accurate physical operations requiring some closely coordinated performance;

This position is moderately physically demanding.  The employee is primarily standing while performing most of the duties of the position and requires frequent bending, pulling and lifting for up to 12 hours;

Read fine print and look for printing and UV lay down defects;

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions;

Outstanding attention to detail required.
