Responsible for timely ordering to ensure delivery of merchandise within the customers agreed delivery time within the Buying organization.

The Inventory Analyst is an inventory procurement & inventory productivity management position within the Buying organization. This position performs the technical and mechanical aspects of the purchasing role and completes functions that contribute to the Buying Team's ability to achieve sales, gross margin, inventory, and turnover goals for assigned categories of merchandise while learning the long-range business strategy within the area of responsibility. The Inventory Analyst works closely with the Associate Buyer and Director of Merchandising in the execution of inventory productivity management of specific lines/categories to significantly improve profitability and maximize shareholder value.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

-Responsible for timely ordering to ensure delivery of merchandise within the customers agreed delivery time.
-Achieves inventory turnover goals and associated budgets.
-Manages inventory levels by monitoring on order, on hand, and open box inventory.
-Optimizes profitability through a structured and disciplined fulfillment process.
-Responsible and accountable for forecasting, ordering and managing the inventory for specific vendors.
-Establishes collaborative relationships with operations team to ensure availability and the timely delivery of merchandise.
-Liaison between Data Management and Vendors on accuracy of item setup, price changes, new models adds, obsolete models and details.
-Responds to inventory inquiries for merchandise by research and recommends appropriate solutions and executes upon Associate Buyer or Director of Merchandising approval.
-Participates in the process of building and maintaining relationships with vendors and interacts with the vendor community while adhering to the company standards and codes of ethics.
-Ensures purchases are made according to the company's Code of Conduct

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of the home appliance and/or plumbing and construction industry
-Experience in developing assortments, merchandising and marketing
-Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others
-Proven track record of developing associates, building and maintaining a team
-Understanding how to forecast, budget, and analyze business financial reports
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
