A highly respected company in the Akron area is looking for a 1st shift production worker
Qualifications for Production Worker
Required Skills:
- ability to lift 50# bags of materials consistently
- ability to read measurements, weigh raw materials, and compound materials
- ability to stand for 10-12 hour shifts (some overtime included)
- Experience in a physical labor environment.
- Good math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift finished product in 50 Gallon drums using equipment to assist you.
- Scrubbing out drums & silos between batches.
- Read batch sheets to accurately mix product.
- Some general shipping and warehouse duties.
- Pull materials form Warehouse with Tow motor
- Weigh out raw materials for mix based on batch sheet specifications
- Combine materials as specified on batch sheet
- Vessel cleaning between mixes, must be able to get in vessel and scrub out materials
- Assist in packaging of materials, working on a small assembly line to package label and load finished product onto skids to get ready for shipment.
- High School Diploma/ equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in a production environment preferable a position requiring weights, measurements, and close attention to detail
