Well-established construction cost consulting firm located in Manhattan, NY (near Penn Station) seeks an experienced Junior Cost Estimator.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level estimator with a few years’ background in commercial, institutional, government, and transportation sector architectural and engineering design projects. The selected candidate will be an integral part of their project management team, assisting with supervision of technical personnel and overseeing project phases. Some travel may be required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level estimator with a few years’ background in commercial, institutional, government, and transportation sector architectural and engineering design projects. The selected candidate will be an integral part of their project management team, assisting with supervision of technical personnel and overseeing project phases. Some travel may be required.
Essential functions include but not limited to:
- Manages client relationships, handling the timely preparation of fees, project and schedule management and ensuring client satisfaction
- Oversees and performs accurate, thorough and timely quantity takeoffs using company format for all levels of project documents (schematic, design development and construction documents)
- Manages multiple projects concurrently
- Attends project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required
- Proficient in software programs used in preconstruction, including MII, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), E-Takeoff, and Sage
- BA / BS preferred
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
- 5+ years of progressive equivalent work experience in a related field required, preferably within the A/E/C industry
- Knowledge in some or all of the following areas: civil/site construction; foundations; structural systems; interior finishes; interior and exterior building wall systems; and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Cost-related certification (AACE International preferred)
