Drive and manage all sales activity with channel programs for assigned accounts within assigned territory for Dish Technology products specifically SlingStudio, AirTV,  Slingbox and all future products in the Western US.

The successful Senior National Accounts Managers will have the following:

  • 7 or more years of channel sales experience and account development in the CE and technology field
  • 5 or more years working with Amazon, Photo Specialty/Pro Video Channel, value added resellers and Clubs.
  • Understands video technology and has sold video related products
  • Have represented products with a MAP policy
  • BA/BS in business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
  • Flexible and able to overachieve in a constantly changing environment
  • Resides close to a commercial airport in the Pacific Time Zone

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to articulate past experiences/strategies leveraging sales vehicles that can be used for the current position 
  • Knowledge of the professional video market
  • Outstanding listening capabilities, both with customers and internal team
  • Proven track record of overachieving 

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) Western US is a sales leadership position. The qualified candidate must have experience selling through value added channels, retail distribution and direct to consumer sales. This is a senior sales position which needs a person equally adept in the trenches as in the boardroom. The NAM is an effective listener and communicator with a strong business acumen and desire to be successful. A team player, the NAM strives to make decisions that positively affect Sling Media and Dish Network and partners. The NAM is engaged in all facets of the channel and direct to consumer business and is expected to consistently contribute to team meetings as well as providing feedback and information to other internal Dish Technology groups. This person is a well-respected player in the industry that exudes confidence and backs it up both strategically and tactically. Resides close to a commercial airport in the Pacific Time Zone.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Exceed sales targets and goals established by management 
  • Develop new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and driving sales within assigned channel partner accounts and associated vertical industries to achieve efficient and profitable sales of the company’s products to targeted levels
  • Provides sales forecast for areas of responsibility, creates go to market plans with channel partners to grow business, analyze data from sales activity, and recommends changes that drive sales, usability and operational efficiencies for accounts 
  • Engages large potential end users, associations to improve positioning to close business
  • Interacts with other departments to drive and improves business within channel accounts and resolve any issues that may arise 
  • Effectively communicates with management team on state of the business. 
  • Shares best practices with peers 
  • Thinks strategically and proactively in terms of marketing and sales planning with area of responsibility
  • Builds and/or establishes strong relationships with new accounts and within major existing accounts including executives, buyers, planners, etc
  • Develops and execute business plans with direction of Sales Director 
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements marketing activities with customers in conjunction with the overall channel strategy 
  • Willingness to embrace special projects as directed by management
  • Ability to present in front of internal and external groups when necessary
