Headway Workforce Solutions in partnership with Alcoa is now seeking General Helpers -HEAVY Industrial workers on first shift for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ. Alcoa is an energy industry leader committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that move the world forward.
Job Description:
This is a Heavy Industrial position that requires lengthy physical labor and peak performance. As a General Helper, you will learn all the content of basic casting operations, as well as assisting in alloy changes, shutdowns of machinery, and the cleaning and rebuilding of machine filters (181 and 622). As a General Helper you will also be responsible for maintaining and organizing scrap and log bins, as well as stamping the logs correctly and legibly.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Operating cranes
• Maintaining small tools
• Stack billets
Position Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to handle a high temperature environment
• Basic knowledge in Mathematics
• Follow company safety standards
• Read and understand the JSA’s and MSDS booklets
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $13.50 per hour
