JOB DESCRIPTION
Shaner has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Group Sales Manager to join our team at the Chattanooga Marriott, a full-service, 342 room property located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga and connected to the Chattanooga Convention Center.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive sales experience working with large groups & associations; Experience with the Marriott brand and knowledge of CI/TY sales system is a plus. The Sales Manager will be responsible for strategically soliciting and developing group accounts, maintaining excellent rapport with existing accounts and successfully promoting the hotel to the community. We are seeking a sales and goal driven, professional individual with excellent sales techniques who will meet or exceed budgeted goals and responsibly manage all aspects of the Sales Department in accordance with the standards Marriott and Shaner Hotels.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of Hospitality sales experience: Marriott experience a plus.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- Superior communication skills, (both oral and written).
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
