The Country of Origin (COO) Analyst is part of company network of resources who are responsible for ensuring business unit practices comply with applicable origin-related regulations and align with Company policies, standards, and procedures.
Providing subject matter expertise (SME) regarding COO determinations and representations
- Providing guidance and support to ensure business units COO determinations and product markings comply with company's standards.
- Contributing to COO process improvements and key initiative projects.
- Training business unit COO Coordinators and other COO stakeholders on corporate procedures regarding origin determination and communication.
- Providing guidance to business units on difficult or complex origin determinations.
- Validating COO determinations related to U.S. Government Procurement regulations.
- Generating valid COO certifications
- Responding to inquiries, audits, requests from government agencies, business units, Legal Affairs, and senior management.
- Conducting annual reviews of business unit processes, controls, and COO data to determine overall level of compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficient with various computer applications - MS Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer
- Able to quickly learn and follow complex procedures
- Demonstrate effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with SAP
- Prior experience in a regulatory compliance role
- Demonstrate strong team and collaboration skills
- Possess advanced computer skills - MS Excel, SharePoint, SAP, legacy business process experience
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
- Independently and reliably manage day to day tasks
