About this job

  • Certified in MIG welding (3G and 4G certification).
  • Welding repairs to heavy structural components per OEM procedure.
  • Ability to operate cutting torch with oxy-acetylene and/or oxy-propylene
  • Advanced air arcing skills
  • Layout material for manufacturing and repair operations under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of AWS welding symbols
Work Environment: Industrial refurbishing shop with large mining parts. Small team of welders each shift (10-12 people). Very big on character and having a teamwork mentality. Swamp cooled shop so it can get humid. Qualifications: Welder, Machinist, Industrial Performance Expectations: Quality of their welding is the most important standard they will be measured on because they have to refurbish parts that come in from the field. They have to work a pace that is consistent with the other welders because they have to get parts back to the field in a timely manner
