Role Summary:
Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Equipment Operator / Driver to support Process and Pipeline Services in Broussard, LA.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Operating DOT vehicles
* Working within DOT rules and regulations.
* Maintains all required log books and inspection reports for DOT operations.
* Maintains assigned equipment, performs daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements.
* Proficiently performs equipment inspection and maintenance as requested and completes paperwork.
* Will be helping in yard as needed with shipping and receiving and loading and unloading equipment
* Operating forklift to load and unload and overhead crane as needed
* Conducts all business activities in accordance with company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and core values
* Job requires 20% travel
Qualifications/Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsements
* 2 years of driving experience under DOT guidelines
* Forklift experience
* Basic written and verbal communication skills.
* Consent to taking and able to pass drug screen, criminal background check and a DOT physical.
* Basic mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to use common hand tools.
* Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents, drawings, parts lists and follow formal procedures.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
* Basic computer skills.
* Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays.
* Must be willing to be on call 24/7
Desired Characteristics:
* Oilfield related driving experience
* Prior equipment operation experience
