Express is partnering with a well-known local company in the heart of Downtown Oregon City to hire Line Cook’s. A cook contributes to the success of any restaurant by executing tasks required to prepare all menu items with emphasis on quality, appearance, speed, portioning, and food safety. Ensure that kitchen area, walk-in, storage area and freezer are clean, sanitary and well organized. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Lifting of up to 50lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Basic analytical and reasoning ability
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
